Antivert is used for

Preventing and treating nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness. It is also used for vertigo (or dizziness) caused by certain inner ear problems. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Antivert is an anticholinergic. It works by blocking a chemical messenger in the brain, which helps to reduce or prevent vomiting.

Recommended dosage for Antivert

ADULTS AND CHILDREN 12 AND OVER

Antivert recommended dosage for Motion Sickness:
For protection against motion sickness, take 25 to 50 milligrams 1 hour before traveling. You may repeat the dose every 24 hours for the duration of the journey.

Antivert recommended dosage for Vertigo:
The recommended dosage is 25 to 100 milligrams per day, divided into equal, smaller doses as determined by your doctor.

Antivert recommended dosage for CHILDREN

The safety and effectiveness of Antivert have not been established in children under 12 years of age.

Antivert special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
